Inflow & Infiltration Abatement: Tried and True Methodologies...
Presenter: Mark French, Grout Equipment Product Manager

Video recordered on Wednesday, February 10th, 2020.

Grouting (or Test & Seal) was the most popular method to reduce I&I because it was very cost effective and its useful life and ROI were very high. Today, NASSCO ICGC encourages grouting and lining where applicable. By doing so, our industry is seeing a resurgence in grouting coming back to being a mainstream choice by utilities and their contractors. Learning to grout and operate the mechanical controls, analog gauges and manual timing made grouting complicated, and in some instances, a reduction in grouting material being delivered and premature point failure occurred.
CUES designed an electronic grouting control panel because of industry complaints of a steep learning curve and high turnover. The training was just too in depth and only technicians with a “certain finesse” could operate the old mechanical systems. The CUES Easy Grout electronic panel uses the same process but incorporates new technology.

Lateral Launching & Its Applications
Presenter: Al Milley, Reginal Sales Manager

Video recordered on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020.

With over 2.5 million miles of pipelines, over 800,000 miles of public sewers, and 500,000 miles of private lateral sewers in the US alone, the importance of lateral inspection for dangerous gas line cross bore detection, pipe defects and structural issues can't be stressed enough. Learn how the CUES lateral-launching system can simultaneously perform mainline (up to 1,000 ft.) and lateral (up to 150 ft.) pipeline inspections with pan, tilt and zoom capabilities.

  Multi-Sensor Inspection Methods: 2D vs. 3D
Presenter: Edward A. “Digger” Diggs, Business Development Manager
Presenter: Adam Slifko, Business Development Manager

Video recordered on Tuesday, December 1st, 2020.

Utilizing new technologies of Multi-Sensor Inspection, LiDAR, Digital Cameras and Sonar, municipalities have been able to make informed decisions regarding the Remaining Useful Life (RUL) of their systems. This presentation will look at the advances in multi-sensor technologies, both 2D and 3D, along with digital "fish eye" cameras vs. analog "fish eye" cameras, Sonar for determining capacity, and LiDAR vs. Laser Profiling.
