Inflow & Infiltration Abatement: Tried and True Methodologies
Presenter: Mark French, Grout Equipment Product Manager

Video recorded on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021.

Grouting (or Test & Seal) was the most popular method to reduce I&I because it was very cost effective and its useful life and ROI were very high. Today, NASSCO ICGC encourages grouting and lining where applicable. By doing so, our industry is seeing a resurgence in grouting coming back to being a mainstream choice by utilities and their contractors. Learning to grout and operate the mechanical controls, analog gauges and manual timing made grouting complicated, and in some instances, a reduction in grouting material being delivered and premature point failure occurred.
CUES designed an electronic grouting control panel because of industry complaints of a steep learning curve and high turnover. The training was just too in depth and only technicians with a “certain finesse” could operate the old mechanical systems. The CUES Easy Grout electronic panel uses the same process but incorporates new technology.
